Backorder

BACKORDER

What is Backorder?
It just means to place an order for an out-of-stock item in our store. You will need to add to cart and pay for it in order for us to process your request. Of course, if you'd prefer not to commit, but just to be notified when the shipment is in, you can let us know. Learn more about how to order an item from a parent-site that is not listed in The Little Happyshop.

Why do I need to backorder?
You should backorder because:

When will I receive my backorders?
From the time you backorder, to the item landing in your lap ... it can take anything between 10 days to two months. We work fast to contact our suppliers overseas to secure new stock but time must be given for international offices to process the order and ship it over. In some cases, items are handmade and the crafters need more time -- we hope you understand. If you need your item urgently, please leave a note in your backorder so we can call you to discuss what's best.

What is your backorder guarantee?
While we can't promise what we don't control (e.g. supplier's factory manufacturing speed), we do offer you the option of split shipment --having your instock order to be sent to you first. This means the other items you order can reach you first; we don't wait for the backorder to arrive (delivery charges apply). In addition, if for some tragic reason we are only informed later that your confirmed backorder turns out to be discontinued, we offer you options for exchange or top-up to an alternative item, a same-value Happyshop Gift Certificate, or a refund* within 10 working days.

*Please note that we are not able to refund to your Paypal account after 30 days from the day of your payment. In this case, if you should require us to refund the cost via telegraphic transfer, please note that you will be charged all bank surcharges incurred for the transaction.

Is everything in your store backorder-able?
We buzz our suppliers whenever our stock is running low. However, the backorder option may not be possible for some items. For example, the manufacturer is discontinuing the line. Or the supplier is unable to commit to an actual time-frame of restock available. Once we know backordering isn't possible, we'll be sure to update the information accordingly, so you'll know.

Can I order an item found on the parent-site (but not available at The Little Happyshop) through you?
Yes it's possible! Please leave a note here with the item's details and URL. We will get in touch with you with the item's price and shipping charge. Please note that this will be considered as a Special Order. As such, we regret that free delivery that's offered for backorders will not apply here.
