Porzellan Manufactur Nymphenburg

Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg is an established handcrafted porcelain company and has been around for 260 years. The place where the porcelain figures and objects are produced has been, since the 18th century, in this one same location – the Nördliches Schlossrondell in Nymphenburg, Germany. Now I find that mighty amazing, because in my country, places don’t last long. Take, for instance, the school where I spent two unforgettable pre-U years. Barely 30 years old, and everything has already been torn down and rebuilt. 

While I have no space to place any of the beautiful porcelain creatures or figures in my home, I love looking at these pieces. There’s just something very calm, quaint and pure about a porcelain piece. Other than the usual luxury pieces of cherubs and maidens and hunters, there are sea creatures, along with other animals too:

And of course there is the whole range of very exquisite dinnerware. I suppose food tastes a whole lot better with these!
